We introduce toys with simple techniques for children like pasting and cutting. But for this group we also introduced a toy with involved tying many knots. It was interesting to see that all children could tie good knots on their own. It occurred to us that it must be maybe because the children’s’ mothers stitch at home and the children themselves too mend their clothes. These skills are natural part of everyday’s lives of the children. In many urban homes, since mending things like clothes, etc. is not a part of everyday activity, many children are not used to simple skills.
